Poplar, Iowa

Poplar is a rural unincorporated community in Audubon County, Iowa, in the United States.

[2] Poplar lies west of the town of Audubon[3] near the border of Shelby County.

[5][6][7] A post office was established in Poplar in 1893, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1903.

[9] A plan to lay out streets and potentially incorporate in 1902 never materialized.

[12] Annual reunions of past and present residents of Poplar have occurred in recent years.
