Porter Township, Delaware County, Ohio

Located in the northeastern corner of the county, it borders the following townships: No municipalities are located in Porter Township.

Robert Porter, a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who received from President John Adams a land grant in Delaware County.

[4] Statewide, the only other Porter Township is located in Scioto County.

The township is governed by a three-member board of trustees, who are elected in November of odd-numbered years to a four-year term beginning on the following January 1.

Fire protection in Porter Township is the responsibility of the Porter-Kingston Fire District,[6] and emergency medical services are provided by the Delaware County EMS.
