The Precision 28 is an American sailboat that was designed by Jim Taylor as a cruiser and first built in 1997.
[4][5] The design was built by Precision Boat Works in Palmetto, Florida, United States, starting in 1989, but it is now out of production.
[1][3][5][6] The Precision 28 is a recreational keelboat, built predominantly of fiberglass, with wood trim.
It has a fractional sloop rig, a raked stem, a plumb transom with a swimming platform, an internally mounted spade-type rudder controlled by a tiller or optional wheel and a fixed fin keel with a lead bulb weight.
[1][3] The boat is fitted with a Japanese Yanmar 2GMF diesel engine of 18 hp (13 kW) for docking and maneuvering.
