It is a part of Prince George County Public Schools.
The district's attendance boundary includes the entire county,[2] which has on-post housing facilities of Fort Gregg-Adams.
Construction on the current facility began in 1976 and it opened for the 1977–78 school year.
The building was expanded to add additional classrooms in the mid 1990s.
Prince George High School offers cheerleading, cross country, field hockey, football, golf, boys' volleyball, and girls' volleyball in the fall.
