He is currently tenth in the line of succession, after his two oldest brothers and his sister and their children.

Prince Sébastien was born on 16 April 1992 at Grand Duchess Charlotte Maternity Hospital in Luxembourg City.

The Prince shares his birthday with his father who was born 37 years before him.
