The Prix de la Grotte is a Group 3 flat horse race open to three-year-old thoroughbred fillies in France.
The event was established in 1889 and was initially open to colts and fillies aged three or older.
The modern version of the Prix de la Grotte was introduced in 1952.
It was designed to serve as a trial for the Poule d'Essai des Pouliches.
Several modern Prix de la Grotte winners have won in the Poule d'Essai des Pouliches.
