[1] Progress M-55 was launched by a Soyuz-U carrier rocket from Site 1/5 at the Baikonur Cosmodrome.

[1] The spacecraft docked with the Pirs module at 19:46:18 UTC on 23 December 2005.

[2][3] It remained docked for almost 179 days before undocking at 14:06:01 UTC on 19 June 2006[2] to make way for Progress M-57.

[2][5] Progress M-55 carried supplies to the International Space Station, including food, water and oxygen for the crew and equipment for conducting scientific research.
