Pterostylis vittata, commonly known as the banded greenhood[3] or green-banded greenhood,[4] is a plant in the orchid family Orchidaceae and is endemic to the south-west of Western Australia.
Pterostylis vittata, is a terrestrial, perennial, deciduous, herb with an underground tuber.
The dorsal sepal and petals form a hood or "galea" over the column.
[3][4][5][6] Pterostylis vittata was first formally described in 1840 by John Lindley and the description was published in A Sketch of the Vegetation of the Swan River Colony.
[9][10] Pterostylis vittata is classified as "not threatened" by the Government of Western Australia Department of Parks and Wildlife.
