Purity Cherotich Kirui (born 13 August 1991) is a Kenyan long-distance runner who specialises in the 3000 metres steeplechase.
[2] She emerged as a steeplechase specialist in the 2010 season by winning the gold medal at the 2010 World Junior Championships in Athletics.
[3] She made her first performances on the international track and field circuit in 2011 and had a series of top three finishes at IAAF World Challenge-level meets.
[6] She was in the top five at the Adidas Grand Prix and Memorial Van Damme, but the same placing at the national trials meant another year without international competition for Kirui.
[4] Kirui was more consistent in 2014, coming fourth at the Shanghai Diamond League then winning the IAAF World Challenge Beijing in a meet record of 9:25.68 minutes.
