Putlitz

Putlitz (German: [ˈpʊtlɪts] ⓘ) is a town in the district of Prignitz, in Brandenburg, Germany.

It is situated 15 km northwest of Pritzwalk, and 35 km northeast of Wittenberge.

From 1815 to 1945, Putlitz was part of the Prussian Province of Brandenburg.

From 1952 to 1990, it was part of the Bezirk Potsdam of East Germany.
