Qaleh Now-e Kharaqan (Persian: قلعه نوخرقان)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Kharqan Rural District[b] of Bastam District, Shahrud County, Semnan province, Iran.

[5] At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 1,937 in 582 households.

[6] The following census in 2011 counted 3,927 people in 1,248 households.
