Quin (Irish: Cuinche, meaning 'Arbutus'[2]) is a village in southeast County Clare, Ireland.
The main attraction in the vicinity is Quin Abbey, the ruins of Franciscan friary, which is open to the public.
The River Rine runs through the village, and Knappogue Castle is 3.3 km (2.1 mi) to the southeast.
The churches in the parish are Blessed John XXIII in Clooney, St. Mary's in Quin, and St. Stephen's in Maghera.
News of the Irish Rebellion of 1641 was first announced in County Clare "at the great fair of Quin".
