Rønnaug Alten (9 February 1910 – 20 January 2001) was a Norwegian actress and stage instructor.
After her parents' divorce in 1913, she was raised by her mother and her stepfather, Supreme Court Justice Edvin Alten (1876–1967).
Her half-sister Berit Alten (1915–2002) was married to literary historian Asbjørn Aarnes (1923–2013).
She grew up in Kristiania (now Oslo) and attended Frogner School, graduating artium in 1928.
[4][5] She made her stage debut at Den Nationale Scene in 1930 as "Viola" in Shakespeare's play Twelfth Night.
