It was a symbol of the highest achievements in sports construction technique and technology, enabling the organisation of large athletics events.

In addition to the main stadium, which included a hotel with a canteen, a doctor's office, a sauna, a gymnasium and a wellness center, the athletes had at their disposal a training stadium located adjacent to entire facility and a swimming pool complex.
