Raúl Silva (footballer)

Raúl Michel Melo da Silva (born 4 November 1989) is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Primeira Liga club Farense.

Born in Belém, Pará, Silva began his career with hometown club Clube do Remo in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série D. In September 2010, he signed on loan for Série A club Clube Atlético Paranaense until the end of the year.

[3] He made his Primeira Liga debut 19 days later in a 1–0 home win over FC Porto.

[6] Silva was sent off three more times in his second season in Madeira, including halfway through the first period of a 1–0 home loss to Funchal rivals C.F.

[7] By the end of the month, he was loaned back to Brazil with Ceará Sporting Club for a full year.
