Radio Tuzla was launched on 1 May 1953[4] by the municipal council of Tuzla, as first local radio station[5] in SR Bosnia and Herzegovina, Yugoslavia.
[9] This opportunity was used by the local commercial station Radio Vesta,[10] which, without any announcement, on September 25 in 2017 changed its name[11] to Radio Tuzla on its website[12] and in all CRA BiH permit registers.
The slogan "Radio Tuzla - Staro ime, novi zvuk"[13] (Radio Tuzla - Old name, new sound) provoked fierce reactions from the public company RTV 7.
