Its construction progressed in stages, with the first segment reaching Arraiolos, inaugurated on April 21 1907.
The following year, the extension to Pavia was completed in May 1908, and two months later, on 11 July 1908, the line finally reached Mora.
Since then, the line's infrastructure has deteriorated, although some adaptation work was carried out to repurpose the former railway bed as a recreational path for cyclists and pedestrians.
Rails were removed, and the route was fenced off to prevent vehicle access, with some former railway buildings restored.
On the other hand, in Arraiolos and Pavia the stations were located outside the population centers, isolated from the urban tissue.
