The Ramoshi[1] are an Indian community found largely in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Karnataka.
[2] They are classified as a Backward Community[3] by the government of India.
The Ramoshi in Maharashtra were earlier known as Vedan.
[4] They were then classified as a criminal tribe under the Criminal Tribes Acts of the Raj.
[5] They belong to the Hindu section while some are Vaishanavas.
