Rancho La Natividad

Rancho La Natividad was a 8,642-acre (34.97 km2) Mexican land grant in present-day Monterey County, California, United States, given in 1837 by Governor Juan B. Alvarado to Manuel Butrón and his son-in-law, Nicolás Alviso.

Their daughter Rosa Maria Josefa Buitron (August 30, 1812 – December 13, 1890) married Vicente Canet of Rancho San Bernardo on October 14, 1828.

Their daughter Maria Ygnacia Vicenta Butron (April 5, 1801 – August 2, 1830) married Jose Quintin Ortega on November 9, 1817.

Their daughter Antonia Francisca Emigdia Butron married William Robert Garner (1803–1849; born in England) on November 25, 1831.

[6] With the cession of California to the United States following the Mexican-American War, the 1848 Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo provided that the land grants would be honored.
