They also became the third team to win a title in their first try during the Reinforced Conference, defeating Red Bull Energy Drink in four games.

In 1998 PBL Makati Mayors Cup finals, he scored 13 points for Tanduay to help the squad to win over Dazz.

[5] In the same year's All-Filipino finals, he helped Tanduay to came back from a 1–2 series deficit and win their 6th PBL title against Agfa HDC Films.

[6] Alcantara coached the San Juan Knights, and led them to their first title in the 2019 MPBL finals.
