[3] Redbank Township is located in the northeastern corner of Armstrong County.

[3] As of the 2000 census,[5] there were 1,296 people, 435 households, and 331 families residing in the township.

There were 435 households, out of which 35.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 62.8% were married couples living together, 10.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.7% were non-families.

20.0% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
