There have been two baronetcies created for persons with the surname Rankin, both in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom.
The second Baronet was a soldier, war correspondent and writer on history and travels.
He also assumed the forename of Hugh in lieu of Herbert, but later changed it to Sammy Parks.
The Rankin Baronetcy, of Broughton Tower in the County of Lancaster, was created in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom on 5 March 1937 for Robert Rankin, Conservative Member of Parliament for Liverpool Kirkdale from 1931 to 1945.
The heir apparent to the baronetcy is the current holder's elder son, Tassilo Laurence Rankin (born 1998).
