Reinhard Klimmt (born 16 August 1942 in Berlin) is a German politician of the Social Democratic Party (SPD).

He also served as a member of the policy-statement commission of the Federal SPD, which developed the Hamburg program of 2007.

[1] As head of the board of the club which he helped to save from bankruptcy, he had signed a sponsoring contract, which had been negotiated before he came into office, and which later turned out to be double-minded.

Since then he dedicated a substantial part of his time to the publication of over a dozen books and the curatorship of numerous exhibitions on different topics.
