Atherina alaotrensis Pellegrin, 1914 The katrana (Rheocles alaotrensis) is a species of fish in the Bedotiidae family.

It is endemic to the basin of Lake Alaotra in Madagascar.

Its natural habitats are rivers and freshwater lakes.
