Rhonda Vonshay Sharpe

Rhonda Vonshay Sharpe (born 1966) is an American economist who is the founder and current president of the Women's Institute for Science, Equity, and Race (WISER).

[1][2] She is a feminist economist who has been a faculty member at an extensive list of colleges and universities and served as president of the National Economic Association from 2017 to 2018.

[6] Her graduate committee consisted of Llewellyn Miller, John Angus, and Gary Smith.

[5] WISER is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, 501(c)3 research institute specifically devoted to the study of Asian, Black, Hispanic, and Native American women.

In particular, Sharpe advocates for the disaggregation of data to examine outcomes separately for women in each group.
