Rich baronets

The Rich baronetcy, of Sunning in the County of Berkshire, was created in the Baronetage of England on 20 March 1660 for Thomas Rich, a wealthy Turkey Merchant who also represented Reading in the House of Commons.

He was the son-in-law of the fifth Baronet of 1676, and had inherited the estates and assumed the name and arms of Rich.

This creation became dormant upon the death of the sixth Baronet in 1983, but heirs are still thought to be living.

The Rich baronetcy, of Sunning in the County of Berkshire, was created in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom on 22 January 1863 for the Liberal politician Henry Rich, the natural son of the fifth Baronet of the 1660 creation.
