Richard M. Suinn (May 8, 1933 – January 5, 2024) was an American psychologist who was a president of the American Psychological Association (APA) and a mayor of Fort Collins, Colorado.
Suinn earned an undergraduate degree from Ohio State University and a PhD in counseling psychology from Stanford University.
He served on the city council of Fort Collins, Colorado, then he became the city's mayor.
[2] Suinn was also one of the founding members of the Asian American Psychological Association.
[3] Suinn died in Fort Collins on January 5, 2024, at the age of 90.
