Rick Wilson (ice hockey)

Richard Gordon Wilson (born August 10, 1950) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman and head coach.

Wilson was mostly recently an assistant coach for the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League (NHL).

He played for the AHL Nova Scotia Voyageurs, Montreal Canadiens, St. Louis Blues, Detroit Red Wings and AHL Philadelphia Firebirds.

He was an assistant coach for the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux hockey team, Prince Albert Raiders, New York Islanders, Los Angeles Kings and Dallas Stars.

On August 10, 2010 Wilson was named assistant coach for the Minnesota Wild organization, a position he held until the conclusion of the 2015-16 season.
