Riedholz is a municipality in the district of Lebern in the canton of Solothurn in Switzerland.
[5] Following the merger, the new, larger municipality had an area (as of 2011[update]) of 7.2 km2 (2.8 sq mi).
[6] Riedholz had an area, before the merger in as of 2009[update], of 4.89 square kilometers (1.89 sq mi).
[7] The municipality is located in the Lebern district, between a moraine and the Aare river.
It consists of the village of Riedholz and Niederwil as well as scattered hamlets and individual settlements, including Attisholz which has had a thermal bath since the 15th Century.
[4] The blazon of the municipal coat of arms is Or a Fir Tree eradicated Vert.
[6] Most of the population (as of 2000[update]) speaks German (1,427 or 95.8%), with Italian being second most common (12 or 0.8%) and Albanian being third (11 or 0.7%).
[11] As of 2008[update], the gender distribution of the population was 49.5% male and 50.5% female.
[10] The age distribution, as of 2000[update], in Riedholz is; 89 children or 6.0% of the population are between 0 and 6 years old and 247 teenagers or 16.6% are between 7 and 19.
The greatest number of single family homes (65) were built between 1946 and 1960.

In the federal election, a total of 665 votes were cast, and the voter turnout was 52.9%.
[6] There were 803 residents of the municipality who were employed in some capacity, of which females made up 43.3% of the workforce.
In the tertiary sector; 28 or 16.6% were in wholesale or retail sales or the repair of motor vehicles, 4 or 2.4% were in the movement and storage of goods, 30 or 17.8% were in a hotel or restaurant, 11 or 6.5% were in the information industry, 1 was the insurance or financial industry, 9 or 5.3% were technical professionals or scientists, 62 or 36.7% were in education and 15 or 8.9% were in health care.
[6] From the 2000 census[update], 586 or 39.4% were Roman Catholic, while 578 or 38.8% belonged to the Swiss Reformed Church.
The education system in the Canton of Solothurn allows young children to attend two years of non-obligatory Kindergarten.
All the lower secondary students from Riedholz attend their school in a neighboring municipality.
