The municipal area measures 3.14 km2, with uses divided among agriculture (47.9%), woodlands (42.8%), open water (0.5%), dwelling and transport (8.5%) and others (0.2%).
Until 1999, this was parochially bound to the parish of Pleizenhausen, to which belong, besides the main centre, also Bergenhausen and Rayerschied.
