In the season 2023/24 the club played in the Danish Women's Handball League.

In 2013 a week before the beginning of the 2013/2014 season, the top flight club Aalborg DH went bankrupt and was thus administratively relegated.

Ringkøbing Håndbold were offered to take their place, which they accepted.

The next season promotion was just missed, when the club came second in the 1st division.

However, in the 2020/2021 season they did win the 1st Division and thus promoted once again to the top flight.
