Robert T. Anderson

Robert T. Anderson (born March 8, 1945)[1] is an American politician who was the Lieutenant Governor of Iowa from 1983 to 1987.

Anderson received his bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Iowa.

He led programs to assist Iraqi refugees in Iowa from 2008 to 2009, and was named Immigrant Entrepreneurial Champion in 2009.

Prior to his retirement, he also served as executive director of the Institute for Tomorrow's Workforce, an initiative to improve k-12 educational opportunity in Iowa.

He is an active volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocate, facilitates a Youth Suicide Prevention Coalition and is active with youth through the Midday Rotary Club of Gig Harbor.
