The Shingle style house was built in 1898 for Curtis Judd, an Illinois businessman who had grown up in the area.
[1] Rock Ridge is set on a knoll about 0.5 miles (0.80 km) north of the village of Monterey.
It asymmetrical in layout with a gambrel roof, a conical turret, and an expansive porch wrapping around a large part of the house.
The interior is virtually unaltered from its period of construction, including original wood finishes and wallpaper.
