Rockfish is a census-designated place (CDP) in Hoke County, North Carolina, United States.

Puppy Creek Plantation was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 5.1 square miles (13.1 km2), of which 4.9 square miles (12.8 km2) are land and 0.1 sq mi (0.2 km2), or 1.87%, is covered by water.

As of the 2020 United States census, there were 3,383 people, 1,348 households, and 948 families residing in the CDP.

11.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 1.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
