Roger Hammond (cyclist)

One-Day Races and Classics Roger Hammond (born 30 January 1974) is a male English retired bicycle racer, specialising in cyclo-cross and road cycling.

Hammond grew up in Chalfont St Peter in Buckinghamshire and attended Dr Challoner's Grammar School as a teenager.

[1] While still at school he won the 1992 world junior cyclo-cross championship in Leeds, but elected to concentrate on his university studies before pursuing a cycling career.

Hammond represented England in the road race event, at the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

[5] In November 2015 he announced that he would join Team Dimension Data as a sports director for the 2016 season, initially combining the position with his Madison-Genesis role.
