Rokitno [rɔˈkʲitnɔ] is a village in Biała County, Lublin Voivodeship, in eastern Poland, close to the border with Belarus.
[1] It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Rokitno.
It lies approximately 15 kilometres (9 mi) north-east of Biała Podlaska and 109 km (68 mi) north-east of the regional capital Lublin.
The land of Rokitno was originally owned by Princess Anila Rzyszczewska.
[2] Rokitno was once thought to have been a much larger town, extending eastward to the villages of Sohov and Osnitzek, prior to being reduced by decree.
