Completed in the early part of the 20th century, the mosque was built in Qajar era and is adjacent to the Takht-e Foulad cemetery.

[1] It was founded in 1901 and built by and named after Mirza Soleyman Khan Shirazi, who was known as Roknolmolk.

[1][2] Made out of bricks, the mosque has two doors and an entrance gate decorated with flower designs.

[2][1] Behind the entrance of the mosque, there is a secluded space which leads to a room that is the mausoleum for the Shi'ite clerics who belonged to the Kalbasi family.

[2][1] In the same hallway, there is a doorway on the left, which leads to a small room where the tomb of Roknolmolk himself and his wife are located.
