Ronald M. Nate

Ronald M. Nate is an American politician and economist who has previously served as a member of the Idaho House of Representatives from the 34th district.

He was an economics professor at Brigham Young University–Idaho and is now president of the Idaho Freedom Foundation, a conservative think tank.

[10] He advised the Brigham Young University–Idaho College Republicans before the group was officially dissolved by the university in 2009.

[12] In 2014, Nate ran against the incumbent Douglas A. Hancey in the Republican primary election, winning with 55.3% of the vote.

[25] Nate defeated Raybould in the June 2020 Republican primary with 52% of the vote,[26] and ran unopposed in the November 2020 general election.
