Rosendale, Wisconsin

Rosendale is a village in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin, United States.

The village was named for the wild rose bushes growing in a dale near the original town site.

[6] According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.22 square miles (3.16 km2), all of it land.

Wis 23 heads west to Ripon and east to Fond du Lac.

Wis 26 heads north to Oshkosh and south to Waupun, and is designated as an alternate route for Interstate 41.

Rosendale has a reputation of being a speed trap with a police department that heavily enforces traffic laws.

[10][11][12][13] Rosendale is home to Sisson's Peony Gardens, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Open for public viewing, the gardens hold an annual Peony Sunday in early June.
