The racial makeup of the village was 81.24% White, 1.72% African American, 0.36% Native American, 0.55% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 13.53% from other races, and 2.58% from two or more races.

There were 2,131 households, out of which 32.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.4% were married couples living together, 10.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.7% were non-families.

22.1% of all households were made up of individuals, and 12.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
