Rrethinat is a former municipality in the Shkodër County, northwestern Albania.

At the 2015 local government reform it became a subdivision of the municipality Shkodër.

[2] During the early 2010s linguists Klaus Steinke and Xhelal Ylli seeking to corroborate villages cited in past literature as being Slavic speaking carried out fieldwork in settlements of the area.

[3] The village of Shtoj i Ri has a compact population of 17 Muslim Podgoriçani families, while Shtoj i Vjetër has a compact population of 30 Muslim Podgoriçani families.
