Rumsey is an unincorporated community in McLean County, Kentucky, United States.
Rumsey had its start in the 1830s when a lock and dam was built at that point on the Green River.
[4] The community is located in the central part of McLean County at coordinates 37°31′55″N 87°15′29″W / 37.53194°N 87.25806°W / 37.53194; -87.25806.
It is located along the southern banks of the Green River opposite county seat Calhoun.
