Russell T. Scott Jr. (born December 8, 1938, in Lewiston, Idaho – died May 28, 2024, in Ardmore, Pennsylvania)[1] was a prominent American Classicist and Ancient Historian known especially for his archaeological fieldwork at the ancient colonial city of Cosa and in the area of the House of the Vestals adjacent to the Forum Romanum in Rome.

Scott joined the faculty of Bryn Mawr College in 1966 and taught there until his retirement in 2006.
