Ry (Danish: [ˈʁyˀ]) is a town with a population of 7,479 (1 January 2024)[1] in central Denmark, located in Skanderborg municipality in Jutland.
Around the turn of the century, it was described as: "Rye (1401: Rydhæ, 1486: Ryde, 1495: Ryæ) with a church, parsonage, school, temperance home with assembly hall (built in 1899), savings bank (established in 1876; as of March 31, 1900, deposits totaled 33,948 kr.
