Sæbø Municipality

It occupied the southern part of the island of Radøy, some small areas on the Lindås peninsula, and some small areas on the island of Holsnøy.

[4] During the 1960s, there were many municipal mergers across Norway due to the work of the Schei Committee.

The first element comes from the word sær which means "sea" or "ocean".

The mayor was indirectly elected by a vote of the municipal council.
