According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.2 square miles (3.1 km2), all land.
Texas State Highway 127 runs northeast, initially following Center Street, 21 miles (34 km) to intersect U.S. Route 83 in Concan.
The climate in this area is characterized by hot, humid summers and generally mild to cool winters.
