Saint-Marc-sur-Richelieu (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃ maʁk syʁ ʁiʃ(ə)ljø], lit.
'Saint-Marc on Richelieu') is a municipality in southwestern Quebec, Canada, on the Richelieu River in the Regional County Municipality of La Vallée-du-Richelieu.
In its origin, the municipality was simply named: Saint-Marc.
On October 10, 2012, the municipality was reportedly the epicenter of an earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale.
