Sakhipur (Bengali: সখিপুর) is an upazila of Tangail District in the division of Dhaka, Bangladesh.

[4] According to the 2011 Census of Bangladesh, Sakhipur Upazila had 71,009 households and a population of 277,685.

Sakhipur had a literacy rate (age 7 and over) of 41.06%, compared to the national average of 51.8%, and a sex ratio of 1103 females per 1000 males.

[7] Sakhipur Upazila is divided into Sakhipur Municipality and Ten union parishads: Baheratoil, Dariapur, Gazaria, Hatibandha, Jadabpur, Kakrajan, Kalia, and Kalmegha, Borochawna and Hateya Razabari.

[6] Sakhipur Municipality is subdivided into 9 wards and 18 mahallas.
