Sam Garrett Lane (born 30 April 1997)[1] is a New Zealand field hockey player.

[3] In the New Zealand National Hockey League Lane plays for Canterbury.

[4] Sam Lane made his senior debut for the Black Sticks in 2016 during the Trans–Tasman Trophy against Australia.

[5] During his career, Lane has only medalled once with the national side, at the 2017 Oceania Cup held in Sydney, Australia.

[6] Lane's most recent appearance for the national team was during the inaugural tournament of the FIH Pro League.
