Shah debuted as an actress in the 2016 romantic drama Dreams, which went on to become a commercial success, and earned several awards for her performance.

[7][8] In 2014, Shah was the second runner-up in the Face of Classic Diamond Jewellers fashion competition, receiving a NPR 25,000 cash prize.

[9] After the competition, Shah was featured on the cover of the M&S VMAG magazine and was also interviewed, in which she revealed her desire to become a model, and said that she felt increased self-esteem and "more beautiful and confident as a person".
